vivdunstan: A vibrantly coloured drawn image of David Tennant's Doctor, with sonic screwdriver in his right hand (tenth doctor)
Was a bit shocked the other night to find I didn't have a Ninth Doctor icon already here. Added one, based on Alice X. Zhang's fabulous comic art. And now just added a Tenth Doctor one, ditto. Which given he's my favourite Doctor ever - even beating the mighty Tom - I should have good use for! Not least because I plan to rewatch Ten's Doctor Who stories. I've recently been rewatching Eleven and Twelve, and expect to go on to Thirteen. Should give Nine and Ten another look too.

Starting to draw up for a blog post my own personal list of favourite ABBA songs. If I can get this down to Top 10 (not ranked, apart from maybe top 3) that will be quite something. I've started sifting through the big hitters, but I like many lesser known ones too, so there's much recapping to do.

And yes I probably need an ABBA Dreamwidth icon too.

EDIT: And here is the first draft version of my top 10 list. Listed in chronological order of release. Need to mull a bit more though, and figure out a top 3. I clearly have a serious preference for late era ABBA!
  • Thank You For The Music
  • Knowing Me, Knowing You
  • Angeleyes
  • Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)
  • The Winner Takes It All
  • Andante, Andante
  • The Way Old Friends Do
  • Head Over Heels

vivdunstan: A red chromatic button accordion (CBA)
Just added a new one, to use for my chromatic button accordion posts. This shows the correct accordion - my French chromatic button accordion made by Maugein. With the new to me non piano keyboard button grid on the treble side. I will keep using my other accordion icon (Paolo Soprani made red piano accordion, that I've had since 1981) for other accordion posts. I do like red!
vivdunstan: Fountain pen picture (fountain pens)
Just refilled my main bedroom fountain pen(*) with ink, and in my confusion tried to cap the pen after with the ink bottle lid. Oops. Luckily no mess! As someone with weak neurological hand control I find fountain pens much easier to write with, and smoother than especially ballpoints. But I need to use piston filler or similar to refill, to manage with my hands. But that works. And yes I probably need a fountain pen icon for here ... (**)

* Lamy 2000, medium nib, refilled with Diamine Chocolate Brown ink. My Lamy 2000 fine nib in the sitting room is one of my top 3 favourite fountain pens. But I have a medium nib one for bedroom scribbles.

** P.S. And now added an icon. Of my favourite pen, in use. With a glass of wine beside it.

vivdunstan: Portion of a 1687 testament of ancestor James Greenfield in East Lothian (historical research)
Just added an icon for my historical research posts. It’s based on the testament (after death thingy, similar to probate in England) for an ancestor in East Lothian in 1687. Here’s the original source image.

vivdunstan: Muppet eating a computer (computer)
Picked one, though I initially considered all of an Apple II (first computer I ever used), Commodore 64 (my favourite childhood computer), Apple Mac and a Sun workstation. Went off piste in the end, with a still from a 1967 muppets TV skit.
