Some thoughts about imminent series of Doctor Who

This is going to be full of big spoilers, so

Just going to jot down some brief thoughts. Pretty stream of consciousness, albeit in a list!

• Excited about the new TARDIS pairing of Fifteen + Belinda. Who looks like she will be an interesting character. The relaxed rapport between Ncuti and Varada in interviews is brilliant. I was particularly amused when Varada revealed on The One Show that she had gone along to what she thought was an audition, not realising she had the part already.
• This year's stories sound more intriguing to me than last year's. At least at a first glance. I'm especially intrigued by eps 3-5 (horror, return of Ruby and the African-themed one).
• I am glad Millie's back, though it's a little unclear if she's just in 2 episodes or as many as 4. Curious about how they incorporate her. Not least in the two-part finale.
• Nervous about whether Doctor Who will air on TV in the UK on Eurovision night, with a possible bump if football before overruns, and Eurovision itself can't be bumped. We'll watch it from the iPlayer whatever. I am also very nervous about a Eurovisionesque episode of Doctor Who packed into the same night as full Eurovision. May be way too much for me!
• Hoping for some good answers re Mrs Flood. There are lots of rumours, including the Rani for her. But I just hope it's more satisfying than last year's finale. She does appear to be a villain of some sort.
• And on that front I hope this year's finale delivers. Will Ncuti regenerate? I know they did late additional filming. He's been great, but he's been put in an extremely difficult situation with the protracted production times and ongoing uncertainties re renewal.
• Even if Ncuti is leaving he’s been doing a good positive promotional round for the series in recent weeks. Full credit to him.
• And will the finale with UNIT lead into the Sea Devils spin off? Actually when are we going to get to see that? It seems ages since they filmed that too.
• There are also rumours that we might see the return of Omega. I can barely remember Omega in Doctor Who ... I'll be with newer viewers wanting fresh intros!
• I'm guessing Belinda is a one series companion, considering everything. Though that feels a shame.
• I really really hope the series doesn't end in uncertain limbo given the renewal question ...

Anyway those are just some quick thoughts! I'm still living in a spoiler-free household, trying not to reveal anything to my other half. It is good to vent some thoughts here in the circumstances!
