And on the ducklings' backs! There were 12 baby ducklings apparently. But I like this photo best, because they are so fluffy, and the lighting is lovely. He was so excited to see them. He texted me from the riverbank!

I love cygnets. I must go see the ones at the local pond again!

These were baby mallard ducks. There aren't many swans around the Dighty Burn where Martin goes for his regular riverside walks. But he has seen a lot of swans at Dundee's Swannie Ponds - not its official name ;) - when he was up there a few times.
