I’m enjoying playing and judging ParserComp 2022. 20 new traditional text adventure games covering many genres and styles. More judges would be very welcome! Judging runs through July and you don’t have to play them all. Learn more at the competition page.
Today (well Thursday) I managed to play, judge and review two games in the competition. The second one was so very good it left me just gibbering “Wow!” for several minutes afterwards. A short game, but so very good.
Note I’ve used the expression text adventure above rather than the wider term interactive fiction because these are traditional parser games. With a few more experimental exceptions. But that’s the form that the competition was set up for. Many are very very old style and traditional.
