This morning, in just 90 minutes, during which time I slept. Luckily there was another member of the household here to deal with the engineer! Both smart meters are communicating with the In-Home Display (IHD) we were given today, though it will take some more days for the meter signals to reach the energy company's central systems. We're told to allow up to 14 days for that. Both of us are already moderately obsessed by the changing numbers displayed on the IHD. Hope to calm down somewhat on that front! It will also be easier to keep track of live usage when we get our
Octopus Home Mini device soon. We delayed getting smart meters for a long time, in part waiting for ongoing teething problems with the technology to settle. But we've gone ahead now. It will be helpful when we get our next (electric) car.
