Doctor Who first snapshot thoughts (pretty non spoilery)

• New sea devils are ridiculously cute
• Decent special effects especially the sea devils ship
• Nice to see historical set episode that’s more respective of the non Western culture shown than many past Doctor Whos
• Very evidently Covid filming with sparse casts
• Pacing problems throughout and often too talky
• Some very shonky acting
• Sound mix issues again
• School Reunion did the Doctor-Companion relationship issue better
• But as a Chibbers episode not too bad, if nowhere near as good as the previous episode
• And OMG the next time trailer

P.S. My Gallifrey Base rating for it was 4/10. It’s scoring generally lowly with fans, though the sea devils are a hit, and the next time trailer is wowing folks.
