Today’s life hack, another trick learned from Jamie Oliver, was microwaving popadoms. I got a pack in of about 40 ready to cook ones, made in India. Will keep well in the cupboard till needed. And just now tried zapping them in the microwave. Really works, mesmeric to watch the bubbles appear! I stacked 1 or 2 popadoms at a time around the inside of a bowl. 70 seconds on 1000W did 1, 120 seconds for 2. Dry, tasty and as healthy as a popadom can ever be. I had to taste test the results, as did Martin, but we have some still cooked for our curry dinner tonight. Yum.

The printed user guide to the Ink interactive fiction system. I’ve only ever written parser-based interactive fiction, but am interested in trying choice-based, and this looks like a good place to start. And more comfortable for me to read than the admittedly excellent web reference materials for the system.
