Babylon 5: The Road Home

Very intrigued by the new trailer for Babylon 5: The Road Home. This new animated movie is coming out in August. The overall plot looks intriguing, certainly a lot more promising than many of the past Babylon 5 TV movies. I’m willing to cut the new in places voice cast some slack. Though the Dr Franklin actor sounds fab. So yes, encouraged, and looking forward to watching it in due course.

While I'm encouraged by the very existence of this as perhaps a change of management attitude at WB to B5 (which seemed rather like the BBC's attitude to Dr Who in 1989-2000), I worry that this was greenlit and made before and during the transition to Warner Bros. Discovery and that after this transition, their horrible attitude to making more B5 universe works may revert to the odd embarrassment they had towards what was clearly a successful platform for a franchise that for some reason management had no interest in exploring.

I'm not encouraged by what I'm hearing of Warner bros. Discovery's attitude to DC Comics and the soft reboot of the DC film universe.
