It has quite a personal connection for me. Back in 1991/2 the early Internet (more than the World Wide Web which was just starting) helped me get together with my future husband. We were both science undergraduates at St Andrews University, and mainly met through a MUD multi user text game run at the university, which we both reached Wizard level in. And we started emailing, and sometime later decided to go out on a first date. We knew each other face to face, but both being rather shy it took the extra push of email etc. to get us together. And this year we’re celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.
