Birds list today

My husband’s birds list from his walk today. This is from his usual Saturday walk to the wooded river valley / old railway viaduct very near our home. I post this list every week on Facebook, but thought I'd post it here too today!

A fine list. I use the Merlin bird-call-identifier app often, and while some of those names put in regular appearances (blackbird, robin, wren, great tit, coal tit), others (yellowhammer, grey wagtail) don't.

There's a special place in my heart for oystercatchers. Many years ago, staying with my parents on Arran, the numerous oystercatchers with their ceaseless peep-peep-peep-peeping were almost enough to require aspirin.

Fantastic list! I would love to hear a bee. It will be another 6 weeks, probably.
