Goodreads to Storygraph?

Considering switching from Goodreads to Storygraph to keep track of my reading. Now to see how long it takes to import my 2500+ row reading database from Goodreads to Storygraph. Pleased to say my hefty reading database from Goodreads imported into Storygraph in just over 3 hours after my initial request. Looks like a generally clean port. I’m loving the huge range of charts and data analysis it’s now generating.

I also saw StoryGraph as an alternative to GR come up in Mastodon today (probably the same post). They look interesting, but it's still a proprietary system. Nice that you could copy the data across, though. I was thinking that this is something that the fediverse should be able to support. Maybe I'll mention it to the folks at Spritely.

Bookwyrm is another option, that's open source, and favoured by folks keen on the fediverse. On the downside its books lookup database seems somewhat limited, so some people who import their Goodreads data find a lot won't go in. I'm more favouring Storygraph at the moment, but keeping Bookwyrm as another option.
