Oh and both my husband and I like to see grey squirrels. He often photographs them. We are near to the red/grey boundary here, but usually see greys on this side of the city. I do sometimes get nasty comments from other people about the pictures though. Which I think is sad.
I can get that thinks might be tenser than elsewhere through living in a squirrel border country.
Here the reds are long gone, and I sometimes feed the greys brazil nuts and no one complains. One especially I liked -- it used to put one paw very gently on my index finger as it took a nut. Think it must have been to some kind of highly exclusive rodent finishing school.
