As I get older, I've moved a long way from teenager me's disdain for squeezeboxes. Hearing Marcel Azzola on Vesoul may have started the thaw ("chauffe, Marcel!")and also John Kirkpatrick in Brass Monkey, playing with that mournful wheeze that makes me think autumn thoughts at any time of year.
