Good accordion practice

Pleased to manage some accordion practice, despite my neurological illness. Playing my own arrangements of The Final Countdown, Valse d’Amelie, Charade’s Bateau Mouche, The Dark Island, Bergerac theme, Lambada, Allo Allo, Sunrise Sunset, and Hushabye Mountain from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I started doing my own accordion arrangements 18 months ago, frustrated that there were many tunes I wanted to play but didn’t have proper accordion music for. I use sheet music notation software program Notion. Arranging is a marvellous mix of creativity, music and logic puzzles. And I get good playable music at the end from it.
This practice was on my wee compact 48 bass accordion I bought from Germany over Christmas. I store it in the bedroom and can usually even manage to get it out myself, though Martin is always happy to help. It can’t play as many notes or chords as my 72 bass Italian box, so it is a bit of a compromise. But it’s very handy, given my neurological illness.
